Introducing iPhone
Apple iphone: iPhone combines three amazing products — a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching — into one small and lightweight handheld device. iPhone also introduces an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting you control everything with just your fingers. So it ushers in an era of software power and sophistication never before seen in a mobile device, completely redefining what you can do on a mobile phone.
Widescreen iPod
Apple iPhone: iPhone is a widescreen iPod with touch controls that lets you enjoy all your content — including music, audiobooks, videos, TV shows, and movies — on a beautiful 3.5-inch widescreen display. It also lets you sync your content from the iTunes library on your PC or Mac. And then you can access it all with just the touch of a finger.
Music
Scroll through your songs, artists, albums, and playlists with just a flick of a finger. Album artwork is dramatically presented on the large display. And now use Cover Flow to browse your music library by album artwork for the first time on an iPod.
Breakthrough Internet Device Apple iPhnone: iPhone features a rich HTML email client and Safari — the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device — which automatically syncs bookmarks from your PC or Mac. Safari also includes built-in Google and Yahoo! search. iPhone is fully multi-tasking, so you can read a web page while downloading your email in the background over Wi-Fi or EDGE.
Revolutionary iPhone
Apple iPhone: iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone that allows you to make a call by simply pointing your finger at a name or number in your address book, a favorites list, or a call log. It also automatically syncs all your contacts from a PC, Mac, or Internet service. And it lets you select and listen to voicemail messages in whatever order you want — just like email. Logitech QuickCam and QuickCam Deluxe: Webcast Naughties in FishEye, Anyone? |
Posted at Friday, March 16, 2007 |
It may not be as shiny-black and sideways phallic as the Creative webcam but, at $59.99, Logitech's QuickCam Deluxe will cost you $100 less. This too has face-tracking software, as well as a 1.3 megapixel manual-focus lens and 24-bit VGA video at 15 frames per second.
RightSound technology supports noise suppression and RightLight will let you be seen in the gloomiest of environments. Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, Vista and AIM all say Yes Please to the QuikCam, but what crowns it for me are the 12 fun filters. That means I can give Charlie White a headache as I switch between fish eye, neon and chalk effect when we're video conf-ing. There's a picture of its cheaper sister, the $39.99 QuickCam after the jump. |

Harman Kardon HS500: Theater Sound for Around a Grand |
Posted at Friday, March 9, 2007 |
Harman Kardon may not a name to say quickly or people will think you are talking about having sex in your car, but it is a name associated with high-end AV products for the home. These home theater systems, the HS300 and HS500 should be available to ship any day now. Both have a 5.1-channel receiver/DVD-Audio/Video player, five satellites, HDMI connectivity, 1080i video processing, subwoofer and a USB connection to other players - and, unlike many HT systems, they are not unstylish. Be prepared to part with $1199 for the 500 and $999 for the 300. – Ad Dugdale |

Google Phone to Predict Your Searches |
Posted at |
The idea sounds over the top, but a Google patent has surfaced which describes an application that can predict your searches based on your location, previous search history, and the time of day. So let's say you're in New York on a Saturday night. You take out your GPhone, and the app will predict the type of bar/restaurant you're looking for based on your previous bar/restaurant picks. Or if it's really late in the night and you typically hit a diner before going home, it'll scan for diners in your vicinity. In a nutshell, the app will read your mind, and if done accurately, that could be the GPhone's killer feature. 9 MAR 2007 — The idea sounds over the top, but a Google patent has surfaced which describes an application that can predict your searches based on your location, previous search ... » 18 DEC 2006 — Rumor has it that Google, Orange (the UK cellphone provider), and HTC (our favorite Windows Mobile cellphone ... » |

Sony Ericsson's Next Touchscreen-based Smartphone? |
Posted at |
The details on these two phones are so slim, we're bound to think they're fanboy images. But here we have what could be Sony Ericsson's next smartphone, a touchscreen-based mobile codenamed "Sneff." It's either a touchscreen or a slider, although those "buttons" up front lead me to believe it's the former. Next up we have the W750.... |
